Love the color of the sky and the placement of the ruins makes it a good focus. The road on the left detracts from the composition. I would crop that out. I would also lighten the whole thing just a bit so the details show better.

Hamid, A beautiful scene. Christine mentions the road being distracting. For me it's not so much distracting as a bit jarring once I realize it's there. And I like the juxtaposition of the ancient "forgotten" with the modern highway cutting through the landscape.

This is simply beautiful. The light-effect and the color tonality are superb. The composition is masterful. The road is not distracting. The road and the movement in the clouds have made this composition dynamic. Wonderful work. Best rating...  Best regards. .

Superb shot Hamid.  I love the colors in the sky and the details all over.  As for the road...I really like it and I wouldn't mind seeing more of the road in the frame.  Including both the road and old structure in the frame really forces the viewer to think about the past and the present.  To me a photograph reaches the highest level when it forces the viewer to think about the scene.  This is a very artistic shot and is very well done.

Christine!

Thank you for your comment and suggestions. The road as cited by friends here are intentionally included to anchor the attention between two symbols in the time, past and present, and for excess stress to main subject - ruins -, all other elements, including the road have been darkened to inject also mood and got coordinated atmosphere with sunset. Thank you again.

Hi Hamid

This is outstanding work. Nice color saturation, but most important composition.

It interesting how well old ruins stand on heel, and at same time not so big. It some how show that it does matter how high stand human creation it can not be bigger than Universe.

Hi Hamid,

This is beautiful! A couple of suggestions;

Add "view larger" to the title for those who might miss the show and

for me, I would crop it just a bit to make the ruins more of the image.

Nice work, I love the lighting.

Grigoriy!

Highly appreciate for your nice comment and thanks so much for the wise points you mentioned. that exactly right, but i never thought about it untill you denoted. Good view point!

Steve!

Thanks a lot for stopping by and taking time to comment. Its greatly appreciated, and about your suggestions: I usually forget about "view larger" , but is necessary to any version which is larger than that size. Thank you so much for the reminder. And for cropping, its a good advice, but this one has cropped already from sides and more crop might cause deletion of some elemental components, IMHO. Thanks again.

Wendy!

So much thanks for your kind words and encouragements. Its highly appreciated.

Anabela!

My first thoughts were also to crop out the road too, but after reading your explanation I can see exactly why you intentionally included it. But I think  I would have still been tempted to move to the right and take the shot from a lower perspective eliminatiing the road (just old habits my friend) and indeed you may have taken this shot as well as the one you have shown here. There is some great detail and texture in the foreground rocks, but the crowning glory is the ruin itself which stands out so well because it seems it is constructed from a different material than the rock upon which it stands, or maybe this is just a trick of the light.

Nicely done Hamid!

Kind Regards

Alf

I am always fascinated with your landscape my friend, this is very powerful one and very appealing, the exposure is so well set and so well balanced while the selection of the DOF ratio has tremendously brought out all of the fine details all over this amazing place, I also like how you engineered the composition here.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.
