St Mary's Church and Rhuddlan Castle, North Wales. Rhuddlan is correctly

pronounced Ri-the-lan - in Welsh u is i - dd is the - f is v, ff is f, y is ee as

in Conwee etc. By the way St. Mary's is one of the Churches I work in,

that and the Marble Church are places where I am an Associate Priest. It

dates from about 900 AD and some of this building dates from the 11 th

Century.

Lovely shot of St Mary's and with the castle in evidence too. A rare winters day with a clear sky.

It took me a while to pronounce some of the Welsh names. I remember asking someone directions to "Lan goll  en"  < my pronunciation , it took me forever to learn LLangollen was pronounced  "Clan Goth len" << well that as close as I can get writing it down.

I did stop by The Marble church a few weeks ago, but there was no one about, maybe I'll catch you next time.

Best Regards

Alf
