I can't tell if I have gone too far with this image... at times,

things can be completely overworked... opinions are welcome... this

I don't think so. But I am sure that there are some that will say that you have. It depends where you are coming from. If you are trying to look real or conventional then this is not going to work but if you are going for a mood or feeling then I think it is very effective. I think the gray skin tone adds to the coolness overall and the pinks give it just enough color without going overboard. I would say be bold you can always dial it back a bit. I think you are on the right track, this is a great image.
