pnital 36 Posted January 4, 2011 Choreographer: Sally Anne Friedland.Another part of the dance "Private Collection", the nets are slowly crawling from the upper part( roof)to the floor, and the dancers are dancing behind. a very dramatic occurrence. Thanks for viewing. Link to comment
andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted January 4, 2011 tones, mistery, mouvement, grace, strenght, a magic and seculary mystic moment. for me. the best one of the serire dance. looking at the miniature, it comes at my mind a forest. Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted January 5, 2011 Pnina, you always manage to capture the style and elegance of dance in unique and interesting ways. I admire your ability to capture the human body as the soul reacts and moves to music in such a lovely emotional way. Dance is a delicate balance between perfection and beauty. - Unknown Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 5, 2011 Grigoriy, thanks for all of them. Andrea, forest is a nice metaphor. Pierre,Thanks for your wishes, the nets were very dramatic indeed. Alberto, thanks for your constant feedback Rajat ,I try my best to progress, very nice comment. Linda, It is nice of you to share with me your impressions and motto about the dance. To come to perfection, hard work is needed, and it is hard work of choreographer/ dancers while looking for beauty and perfection of movement and saying. Thanks to all of you and my best wishes. 3m 0 Posted January 7, 2011 A lovely capture, especially when seen bigger, Pnina..! I admire the composition, and the way you managed to take the photo at this particular moment. Full of movement, and very graceful indeed. (& I can see why it makes Andrea think of a forest...) Kind regards to you, Marjolein Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted January 7, 2011 Hi, Pnina. I see that you are still doing these beautiful dance images. I love the light, forms and fabric in this. I don't get to photo.net very often now. Time is tight and I'm in several other critique sites, also there seems to be a competition always on the go. all the best to you in 2011. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted January 8, 2011 Very cool! Reminiscent, at least to me, of the three graces, only there are four. I love the gauzy covering which diffuses the light. The poses are so graceful, statuesque, yet fluid. The rip in the veil is an interesting inclusion, letting a little relief into the scene. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 9, 2011 Amal, thanks for your nice feedback, It is much appreciated .Tolo,I understand what you say even though I don't speak your language;-))Thanks very much.Marjolein, thanks as well, it is a choreography that I like very much, so I 'm glad you and other visitors are connected to it.Roger, as long as you enter from time to time and show your work at PN, thanks for writing, You have been missed!Jeff, as I wrote to Marjolein, this is a choreography that touches the senses of beauty and aesthetics .The three graces is a nice reminiscent (a new word for me....). Thanks for your imagination;-)) Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 10, 2011 This one is great, Pnina. It's amazing with so many arms and legs flying off in all directions, this picture maintains such a beautifully gyroscopic balance. The essentially monochromatic presentation keeps the focus where it should be - on the patterns created through the interplay of the dancers. The gauze curtains adds an element of dimensionality by at once obscuring and revealing. This is one of your best realized pictures, I think, and I'll put it in my favorites. Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted January 11, 2011 Excellent work, Pnina! Great control of light and amazing composition. Stunning photograph! Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted January 13, 2011 The veil moves this into the realm of the subconscious. Kudos to the choreographer, and to you for capturing the moment so beautifully. Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted January 16, 2011 Dear Pnina, I agree with those above that consider this as one of your best, up till now. I love it. Very dramatic and dreamy. Filled with strength and emotion. If I should mention one questioning I have it would concern the very narrow framing. If it was possible, I would prefer seeing a small space between the frame and the two to the right and left. I might be wrong! You are the artist.I include it as one of my favorites. Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted January 17, 2011 Another fine example of good stage photography, compliments! I also like the attachment very much. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 17, 2011 the whole week...Thanks for your feedbackJack, thanks for your wide evaluation and impression. Hiding/ revealing is so well expressed as it was my thinking as wellGunnar, thanks for such a nice feedback.Linda, thanks for your comments. This group and dancers and choreographer are are my favorites.Anders, thanks as well for liking it and adding it to your favorites. You are right that the frame is a bit tight but the main is the best I could do at a fraction of a second....El, thanks for liking both versions. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted January 19, 2011 At first glance, with all those appendages I could not help but think of one of those Hindu god (goddesses?). Upon more close examination, I'm taken with the fury of the energy displayed. Very nice, my friend. And hope you have put your computer problems behind you. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 19, 2011 Thanks for your nice comment. Yes as you see I'm past the problem, but it was not easy ( feeling a bit like a desert....)and a lot of work now.I'm glad to see(read) you here, Dave ;-)) Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted January 26, 2011 Pnina,I concur with the high praise which this image has garnered. The sheer material give an effect somewhere between cracked old canvas and soft smoke... a very appealing look.I do wish that the image had been cropped to the inner edge of the gap between drapes on the left side of the frame. I think this would give a better overall balance between the right and left side, to some degree possibly addressing Ander's comment about framing. The other benefit would be to have the illusion created by the veil remain continuous. At present being able to see the gap is akin for me to being able to see behind the curtain at a magicians show, it sort of breaks the illusion. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 27, 2011 As usual you are completely right! but as I wrote to Anders, it is fraction of a second, no second chance.... I still though it is a good photo. Now you see why I need you here, close as possible despite the geographic distance! Thanks my real helpful friend! Link to comment
