Otherworldly.  This seems more above than below, like a puddle on the moon (except the leaves give away the secret).

Christal, new work! I am so glad to see some that you have posted some more images. This is wonderful. Whatever processing you did here is interesting and very original.

Hi Christal, This is a long overdue visit, and I really enjoyed looking at your latest Ice series. I don't know how you achieved them, but they are very interesting abstracts to look at, as they each have unusual compositions, different moods and color schemes. I particularly like the contrast in textures  and depth in the above photo. Intriguing work! Best regards to you, Marjolein

So good to hear from you all, and thanks for your kind words about my images.  We've had the worst winter on record here in Indiana.  I only wish I had more time to capture some of winter's wonders with my camera.

Marjolein, these images are actually straight from the camera.  The only thing I've done is invert them, making the dark parts light and the light parts dark.  It made an interesting effect.  I'll attach the original so you can get a better idea.  As you can see, there are some interesting shapes and textures, but the overall impact of the original image is quite bland.  So I was looking for a way to 'give it more personality'.  Glad you like this.

This is a wonderful image and something I would be most proud to have realised. It is a profound abstract with overall nice balance and various levels of details or layers. The eye keeps taking in information long after the first impression is obtained. Rather like listening to a favourite piece of music with all the generous repeats. Well seen and composed. Great!
