Christmas tree men never do say much, they spend too much time in the company of trees : - )

I do like the profile view and the wistful look as he stares out, keeping his eyes averted just in case soemone might start a conversation!

Best Wishes for 2011 Liz

Liz, an interesting portrait of the working man.  I'd love to know what he's thinking.  I like your choice of tones for this one and so glad to see that it's architecturally correct with your verticals.  All the best for 2011 and I'll look forward to seeing more of your posts.

Has the feel of biding time in a timeless world. I like the way in which the frame is divided and the oof conifers in the background are a nice touch.

Liz...  Cool in his Carhartt, and I suspect he talks as slowly as his trees grow.  Good shot, toning and presentation... Mike

I like the shot and the title!

Take care and wish you and your dear family a great year!

Best regards(Bobby).

Liz, I like the stoic quality the man seems to have. I really like the DOF with enough of the details of the background to give a nice sense of place and time. You can fell the crisp winter air.

What's of interest to me is how this man pairs so well with the faint outline of the trees and stop sign.  His rumpled nature and beard seem well suited to the texture of the brush and trees.  Kind of a pensive photo.

It's a beautiful photograph with perfect choice of color tones. The color tonality is just perfect to depict the embedded emotional tonality. This is an artistically composed image with wonderful use of negative space. The white element in the background is distracting a little. Best regards.
