Excellent and undervalued

Very unusual. One doesn't often see one of these animals in this situation.  What happened.  Poaching? You might include a story line about this event/image.  Thanks for sharing.

A bit of background. The hippo had been taken down by a pride of lion the night before and after feasting on a large portion of the hind portion, they

had retreated into the bush to rest up a bit. As is the norm the scavengers then come in to feed . This image was taken at sunrise from a distance of 3 metres. Location : near Mopani camp in the centre of Kruger Park.
