Ghosts of New Year's

This is a single shot using the black card technique used with fireworks

shots. My son and his fiancee posed in the center of the frame for 4

seconds and then the lens was covered with the black card. With the

lens covered Julie removed the flashlight that had been illuminating their

portrait. Matthew lit the side fireworks and the black card came down

for 1 second. After those fireworks went out a sparkler was lit and Julie

wrote her name in the air with the sparkler followed by Matthew doing

the same. They wrote their names facing the camera which meant they

had to write their names backwards with the letters reversed. Total time

the shutter was open was 134 seconds @ F11 and exposure time was

about 30 seconds. If nothing else it was a great way to spend time with

my kids and we all enjoyed putting the shot together. This is the third

and final take - we ran out of fireworks! Thanks for your time.
