flynn 4 Posted July 16, 2011 This is one of my most memorable photos made 5 55am at sunrise from viewpoint right across from the mountain. I started my hike from El Chalten, Argentina 2 00am in the morning to get there before sunrise. I hiked alone and it was pretty interesting to walk in complete darkness just with small flashlight. It was most magical moment of my life when the first rays of light reached the large 2100m granite wall. Few local climbers were watching this sunrise with me and as the rays of sun reached the mountain they played song from Beatles "Here comes the sun". I will never forget Fitz Roy, one of the most difficult mountain to climb with windiest weather in the world. Link to comment

Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted July 17, 2011 Peter,My wife and I were in El Califate in 2008. We got to Glaciar Perito Moreno and to Torres Del Paine in Chile for a day, but were unable to include El Chalen and Fitz Roy on our trip. Our experiences with the magnificence of Patagonia give me extra appreciation with a little added envy of your trek and wonderful capture of one of the world's greatest natural wonders. You have fabulous light and detail here. Great capture. Just exquisite. Best regards. Larry Link to comment
