Hi Robert.... before comenting here, I had a look at your portfolio and wish to commend you on a number of fine images.

Unlike some of your other elephant shots, I cannot find a point of focus here...... it seems that the foreground is over exposed and the background (elephant) under exposed. The subject matter has little clarity and/or definition.

I recall that your metering mode is set to pattern....so to me the camera has selected the brightest areas... ignoring your subject matter, being the darker areas..... just a thought.

I tried to re-compose the image in PS in terms of removing some of the foreground and the wall and foliage on the right, but the lack of clarity in the elephant did little to warrent a better picture.

Obviously not what you wanted to hear..... But I sometimes feel that the ratings of an image can often create a false sense of accompishment and as your critique request asked for assistance..... I've done my best.

Regards
