Although I had a hard time connecting with the title at first, I think the photograph addresses one sense of "chosenness", that the Jewish people through its collective faith is set off from the rest of the world. This is by God's choice, but it also is a Jew's choice.I will be thinking about this photograph for quite a while. That is its primary value. Link to comment
