Happy Holidays and New Year. Please view this larger. We've been

feeling a little frozen. Literally taken a step outside of our door, this proves

one doesn't need to travel far to click the camera. Winter has just started

and we've already had more than 30 inches of snow. I appreciate your

taking the time to comment.

WoW...that looks very cold to me, i only hope you have good batters, very nice B&W Larry, may be some still life in doors, all the best....

Thanks, Grant.  Thanks for your comment and for taking in a piece of our winter.  It's actually just a way of life in Minnesota.  Converting images to B&W always seems like a guess.

I can really empathise with your cold conditions as the UK is currently experiencing the coldest winter I can remember.

I like the diagonal composition of the ledge with the vertical curtain of icicles, the clumps of snow and the distant stark trees complete the winter atmosphere. It would be in interesting excercise to see how they would look at night with perhaps the interior lights illuminating them.

Nice work Larry!

Best Regards

Alf

Thanks, Alf.  I really appreciate and value your looking at my images.  You have an interesting idea about the illumination.  I hope to do more night shooting.  It's a relatively new area for me.  Unfortunately, I can't try your idea.  The icicles melted today in a quirky rain.  We are aware of Europe's severe weather this winter.   Happy New Year!
