The blur and patterns are purely from camera movement while taking the

shot. The post processing was mostly tone enhancement. I would

appreciate any guidance on improving this image. Thanks for your time.

Lovely colors and patterns Peter. I like the ghostlike orangy bush in the lower right and the spots of bright leaves in the lower middle area, these elements break the otherwise linear pattern of your image.  Very nice abstract image.  Regards - michel

We really like this photograph....just the right  amount of camera movement to produce an abstract and still recognizable image. The warm fall colours harmonize very well too...

If this were our image,we would have cropped it from the top a little bit...but of course, that`s our personal taste :-)

Best regards from Norway, Anne & Runar :-)

PD. Take a look at our "Trees" folder if you want...

Thanks everyone for all of the great encouragement! Anne and Runar you are right about the crop. I took some off the top and it looks much better. I went to your tree folder, impressive! And I took note of the advice you gave on blurring the tree shots and will work with it. Thanks again.

I like both versions; the cropped lets me "enter" into the image more easily, where the uncropped seems to hold me off at arms length. I think both have their place depending on your desires. Nice work - I'd enjoy this on my wall.

Michael,

Thanks for your description of "entrance". After reading it I see what you mean. I thank you for teaching me about this concept!

I have changed the mood of the image and it is not what I am proposing - I simply wanted to present a different perspective. The main change I did was to -20Red on the color balance and added a bit of contrast. This is only for discussion purposes.

Tony, Thanks for the input. Your version does have a lighter energy to it where as mine is a bit more somber but I am a bit partial to dramatic images so I still have a preference for my version. I just really like touches of darkness.

Best Regards,

Peter
