GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted December 16, 2010 I love the color 'purple'............and when I was playing with my 'hues and saturation' I rather liked this 'abstract' combination of colors.....vibrant and rich....will do for an "Abstract" but not really for a good horse. Ah,,,,but we all need imagination once in awhile................tnks for viewing.....GAil Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 16, 2010 Beautiful painting and so pleasant colors, the shapes working on one line with each other so perfectly and forming one amazing image, the framing also adding to the beauty of this work and having a wonderful connection efface with the viewers.Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best. kaushikphotography 0 Posted December 16, 2010 Lovely transformation and the presentation. I can't believe a horse can be treated in a such beautiful way. Amazing.Wishing you a very happy and joyful season. Thanks for sharing. All the best. Regards. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted December 16, 2010 Thankyou Rashed. As I said, I was surprised myself how well this worked out. When you do a 'painting' it doesn't always work out so well, and this one seemed to just naturally come together as far as the colors went. I love it when something 'goes right'. May thanks once again for your input and encouragement....Sincerely, Gail Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted December 16, 2010 Many thanks for your visit and expressing your feelings about how the colors worked out. You wouldn't think a 'purple and mauve' horse could look good..........but it worked. My Christmas Blessings to you also...sincerely, Gail Link to comment
chris_panagiotidis 0 Posted December 16, 2010 ...which is something you have in abundance, Gail ( imagination that is!) This elegant grazing horse was transformed to a green-purple-brown pandemonium , but abstract it is not-would be unfair to this elegant animal. You let wisely the form prevail over the colors explosion which is an element of paramount importance for the picture balance. I can easily imagine this enlarged five-six times ,framed and hanged, any gallerist would agree with me. You really know what to do with opld captures , Gail. Others leave their pixels gather dust in hidden old archive folders, you revive them triumphantly! Link to comment
billsymmons 0 Posted December 16, 2010 Beautifully done Gail The combination of purple and green is classic, with the muted yellows fitting perfectly. Now I have a confession, I didn't see an elegant horse at first. My first take was a Lamb eating hanging fruit from some tropical tree. When I stopped staring at the horses forelock, he appeared. The magic of abstracts, or the weirdness of my vision!!All my best, Bill Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted December 17, 2010 This photograph is striking in its color palette and contrasts. Until I read your narrative, I had no idea that the subject is a horse. I simply experienced the photograph as a visual feast. My best to you and your family for a joyous holiday season, michael Link to comment
tonyfrench 0 Posted December 18, 2010 Gail, if Mr. Ed can talk, then horses should be purple and blue and this one is exquisite. Link to comment
