This is a truly magic image.. I'm not sure if it is black and white or not... maybe it is worth trying with just a shade of colour? But what ever you try I think I would be very proud to have taken this.

Wonderful Landscape.

 

I think the telephot lense is perfect for visually stacking all the varied tones onto each other. Combine that with a surreal inversion and its fog effect, and the light streaming in via the tree tops. This is a prime example of finding that perfect lighting situation and matching it perfectly to the scene in terms of composition.

 

I would be very intersted to hear the story of how you came about capturing this one. Was it a planned out spot? Spur of the moment frenzy? A local place you pass often?
