This was getting close to sundown and we were losing the light. I used

my flash with a difuser so I could keep the shutter speed up. Thank you

for your time and thoughts.

The photo has great contrasts with the dark background with dusk coming and color of the the bride and bridesmaid's dress' really making the photo pop. Close up the groom and groomsman almost look like they were digitally put there because the light on them is perfect (albeit they were moving so fast they're blurry, but who cares the picture is awesome!).

I LOVE the idea of this photo and the composition of it all. It's an awesome photo! The only thing that boggles me is the dark dusky background with the bright people that almost don't seem like they belong there. All in all a great photo! :)

Very well composed and captured image. I feel it all works rather well, lighting wise. The only thought I have in terms of improvement, regards the grooms left arm hanging down the side (not your, nor indeed anybody's fault). It makes his jumping kick look slightly awkward. His cuff is very neat, though :-)

Very fine photograph, Sonia.

This is an amazing fun shot. A very well designed composition with wonderful color tonality. The level of contrast is just perfect for the creative composition. The impressive cropping, the revealing backdrop, the effective foreground – everything have enriched the dramatic character of the image. A refreshing shot.. Best regards.

Great fun!

Nitpick: maybe crop a sliver from the left so both flying models are at the same distance from the edge.

Apart from that: hats off to you, a great idea very well executed.

Wow, thank you all for your feedback. I guess the lighting on the subjects does not relate to the background as a side effect of using the flash. I dont mind it though. Thank you for the crop suggestion. I was torn as to what would look best. right now the bride and maid of honor are centred.

This is a superlative shot from a field that is rife with clichés.

Maybe its being shown will breed a whole 'raft' of imitators.  I really wouldn't be surprised.  Maybe I'm naive in the field, and this style has a name, and I'm just ignorant.

This straightaway has some prominence on Photo.net which numbers its photo submissions consecutively, and I think we're somewhere in the area of 12 million plus.

It was less than 3 million when I became a member/subscriber.

I've seen many things start from little more than a good idea in the meantime; Mr. Zukerberg made Facebook in about that time, and look how well he's done, competing now with the likes of Bill Gates and the founders of Google.com for users and employees too (the employees fight for the best perquisites and one is a new stock offering that may soar, and his is the one of the three that has that potential.).

Your competition has been grounded, and you have soared.  (there may be a way, using small trampolines as launching sites, hidden in a ditch  (like behind here) to conceal the trampolines and thus launch higher or easier and not have the 'launching devices' show yet not obscure the feet, and (if helpful) add even more height.

These two look like athletes, but not all potential subjects are, and others less athletic still may want to be similarly 'launched'.

I predict if this is an original idea, it will be imitated; please copyright the photo, and do distribute it to a wedding magazine or photography magazine to get credit for this idea before someone else does.

I once had a friend whose best friend was a singer/songwriter.

One day, my friend related, her friend came to her crying.

Why?

'Madonna stole my song and made it famous, and she's getting famous because of that.'

Enough said?

Get this before right people before anyone can steal credit for a great idea and have others think it was of this style as 'somebody else's'.

Remember, the Wright Brothers for the first half decade or longer after achieving manned flight were not thought to be the originators; instead some European aviator was believed to be that person and got accolades for that which the Wright Brothers deserved.

(small morsel: is that vignetting in the top  corners -- bottom too, probably, but skies show vignetting more than most things?  If so, did you want it there or did you want to try to eliminate it?  I often post my work not completely edited to death just to get comments on issues that are not major but helpful, such as that, and you may have made a similar decision about vignetting.  Because it shows in different portions of distant sky, it cannot be flash caused.)

Compliments on an original idea well done.
