John Peri 1,027 Posted December 22, 2010 Very original once again Raymond. Kind of a mixture between surf board and oriental nights .. no less pleasing because of it .. : -) .. but the highlight of course is the delightful model. Link to comment

JPPhoto1664880217 3 Posted December 24, 2010 VeRy SuRReal! Is this meant to be a surreal "caricature" of a pinup? I like the image, but do not think I truly get it. I certainly don't uderstand the title.I really like how the color contrasts (primarily the lips and the chair) work together with the tonal contrasts to keep my eye moving, and how my eye comes back to her lips. Is this a combination of Escher and Vargas meeting the Silver Surfer????Enlighten me! Jim Phelps Link to comment
Elstad 5 Posted December 24, 2010 Perhaps this is new ground for me but I've come to the conclusion that I should never explain my works because my works are explained already in themselves. The viewer should take away from a work what they will and explaining an image is like telling a joke and then having to explain why its funny. So I think I'll demur and hope you are not offended.
