Beautiful place and the atmosphere is so pleasant and relaxing, the boats on the foreground and the bird over the mountains add a strong power to this amazing image, the clouds of the sky and the way you did control the exposure are remarkable credit to the outstanding composition here.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Bella! Ma qui, per me, il colore è d'obbligo! Che dici Niki, inclinare un po' verso destra l'immagine?...Ciaomau! p.s.: quanto hai pagato quel gabbiano? Hahaha!

The BW is more dramatic but i think the colour version has better depth, both are very nice pices of work, regards

Ciao Niki, come tu ben sai, ho un debole per il b&w, ma questa foto la preferisco a colori, non interferiscono con la bellissima composizione e anzi evidenziano il "feeling! dell'immagine, complimenti!

You shared on of your best landscape shot this time! Very beautiful scene, and the best moment just when the bird was at the peak! Brilliant capture and nice HDR process. Bravo.

Niki,

I too like the colored version best, although both are fine landscape images but I think the colored version has more depth which greatly improves the mood of the image.

Best wishes,

A very beautiuil shot with atmosphere Niki. Seems like HDR. Bird adds lots of impact as well. Minor critique........ horizon seems slightly tilted to me. Best regards JB

Whenever color adds to the composition or to the photo in general, and when you're not just depending on forms within the photo to carry the photo, then color should be kept (IMO).  The red and blue of the boats are striking, as is the orange color of the boulders behind them.  The blue of the mountain stands out from the clouds.  In the B&W version, these elements are not as distinctive; they become more melded with each other.  That' why the color version gets my strong vote.  Also, thanks for putting the two versions in the same posting so that one doesn't have to look for the other version somewhere to do the comparison.

hi NIKI, i prefer the colour, it reminds me of a time when i was in GREECE. i know that it is unusual that you actually got the bird in flight and that he is not blurred however and i know everyone will disagree but may i say that i think the bird actually distracts from the  pure simplicity of the photo.. take care samme
