Hello Andrea, this is again a strong shot of your kind. I did not see the author before and thought Andrea? and yes...

Also your second post on that - perfect how you got the lamp and the man and their shadows.

The lit lamp in the dark is the focus for my eyes..

Ciao Axel

i prefer the elaborate shadows of the spires which, together with the lighted lamp, symmetrically frame the glorious pinnacles; also better i think to omit altogether the larger spire from the composition if we cannot see the Madonnina atop it. so many ways to compose this awesome building, Andrea. keep shuttering... ;-} dp

Ah...The photos from Milano -- and it does look cold indeed. A very nice perspective, and definitely not for a vertigo prone person;-) These are two very nice captures of the same perspective. I personally prefer your " B " version(without the spires), because of its cleaner lined composition and the nice shadows at the bottom. The lantern is ideally positioned. (one tiny nitpick -- it's a pity that the people on the right aren't a little bit more clearly depicted..) Greetings from a (very) snowy & cold France, M

Very strong and original image again from you, Andrea! I like the use of architectural details for this scene. Great control of light and excellent tonality and contrast despite difficult light conditions. Version B is very good too, just perhaps bright area is too bright, but composition is better in my opinion.
