Bolsa Chica Wetlands East

When Mother Nature gives a photographer a lemon, it's nice to be able to make lemonade.  I've had my camera put away for the last two weeks because the weather has been "dreary."  You've illustrated that concept with the uniform cloud cover but especially with the scraggly shrubs in the foreground and the undistinguished "things" in the wetland in the background.  It may not win a beauty prize, but it does a great job of illustrating a concept or a feeling, and that's one of the highest forms of photography, IMO.
