usually i close my eyes and just click forward. But here…sorry, i just fail to see the interesting part. to me, the post processing doesn’t even help because flaws are within the image itself…from the position of the body, the ironic half-ashamed smile or the shoe to the actual message you’ve tried to capture and expose. again, maybe it’s me…but i doubt it

I clearly see the interesting part... it must be the first time I've read a negative comment about a shoe.

Hi Steve... yes, me too, but hey, to each his own!  :o)   Especially interesting comment since she asked for the bathroom shots, and the expression was what she wanted (hardly ashamed!).  Thanks for your comment!

I don’t think I said anything about the bathroom and definitely the negative comment was not about the shoe. And yeah, ok…it seems it is me! But since everyone else sees the interesting part….how about sharing that thought with me or anyone who doesn’t get it…

Constantin,

While I don't OWE you any type of explanation whatsoever, and I don't feel a need to defend my work, I'll just say this... a photographer makes an image, and often leaves it to his audience to form their own conclusions and interpretations of that image.  And, I have found that there is often as many interpretations as there are viewers!

I've looked at the images in your port - which is how I judge the credibility of whoever is judging my work -  and I could easily ask you the same question.

The difference my friend, is that I don't make my images to please you, nor do I care if you draw any meaningful conclusions from my work or not.  And, I don't care to make it a vendetta to try to force you (or anyone else) to defend their work or explain its meaning to me.

We put our work out there... if some people like it, great!  (It's a given that not everyone will!)  If not, the bottom line is whether or not we, as photographers, are constantly striving to better our work and fulfilling our own visions.

This is far from being a personal vendetta but feel free to ask anything about my work, I’ll be more than happy to discuss it with you. It is why we are here in the first place. To better understand photography. At least I thought so. However, at the end of it, I still don’t know anything about the interesting part here. That’s ok…next time, I’ll just click away. And don’t worry, you do not own me anything. Cheers!

Janis, thank you for that wonderfully descriptive synopsis.  It's always good to hear from people who have put some thought into their impressions.

And Stamoulis, thank you too for your kind words.  Yes, anytime a beautiful woman spreads her legs for us, it is a bold and trusting gesture, and the onus is on us as photographers to ensure it is captured as the beautiful expression that it is.
