marcadamus 1 Posted December 3, 2010 Wish you could see this larger in print somewhere. The web doesn't do it justice. This is from Washington's Hoh Rainforest. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 263 Posted December 4, 2010 I believe it's better seen much larger, but the copy you posted isn't large enough Marc?! Wonderful shapes and colors and obviously very well lit! Very attractive!PDE Link to comment

andregilden 0 Posted December 4, 2010 Nice and beautiful composed. It's a fairytail forest. For me it could be a little less saturated. The light greens look a little over saturated, but i'm never sure on the screen, it can always look a little different. Great image. Regards. Link to comment
ndj 0 Posted December 4, 2010 Gorgeous, lush rain forest Marc! Excellent, even lighting wonderful range of greens/yellows, with interesting shapes compliments of the draping moss. I wish I could see this larger too!All the best,Neil Link to comment

lizweisiger 0 Posted December 7, 2010 Most unusual image, Marc. I love how you cropped in tight to give it a different perspective. I feel like I'm looking at an ethereal and magical place. Sort of like "Jack and the Beanstalk" which is a wonderfully creative story with lots of magic. Link to comment

dirk_ercken 0 Posted February 15, 2012 This is really an amazing image! It really captures the spirit and the beauty of the forest. These images are not easy to take, its simplicity makes it strong. I just love it! Link to comment
ford_kristo 0 Posted February 15, 2012 Interesting forms and textures, but I find that the green/cyan treatment on the fern fronds is a bit overdone. This overpowers the subtlety of form/pattern of the mosses and makes it look a bit garish. This image potentially has some very interesting side/backlighting in the yellows of the hanging moss (again, a subtle effect) but the the manner in which the fern fronds have been rendered produces competition for attention. The focal point (for me) should be the hole on the right hand side. My eye wants to go to that hole and be drawn in, but the bright cyan/greens flatten the image and keep me on the outside. Link to comment
ford_kristo 0 Posted February 15, 2012 I have taken the liberty of doing a quick and dirty PS run on your image to illustrate the matters I alluded to in my previous post. Link to comment
