William,  you have a nice composition here.  I think Tarek's cropping suggestion relates to the front brick wall being out of focus.  You could do with more depth of field.  If this is a wide angle shot, you should have achieved more DOF by using an aperture in the f/22 range.  The color, narrowness, water, and gondolla of people are nice elements.  You are quite overexposed in the middle.  To me this hurts the image, significantly because it's in this overexposed band of light that your focal point, the gondola, is found.  Don't take my remarks as negative criticism.  I wouldn't comment at all if you didn't have an interesting image.
