I'm always pleased to see Venice. I think the use of a long shutter speed is excelent, but I wonder if it would be even better if it was reworked to give a more vivid impression of dusk

I like the idea of the blurred image of the gondola as ever moving spirit of Venice. The colors fit it beautifully. The big pole with the bright light on the right is too close to the edge of the frame IMHO. I think the whole image would improve if you crop it off with some bottom part of the picture, which will also move the gondola a little bit off center and create more space in the direction of its movement.

I regret my narrow mindedness sometimes in not exploring areas other than my own. It's not for lack of interest but mostly due to laziness.

 

This is a magnificent work alike so many others in the portfolio. The most wonderful touch is the sense of movement portrayed by the Gondola in the otherwise timeless setting. I also kick myself. I have been there several times, why did I never try an evening setting, not meaning that I could pull it ff as well as this .. wonderful work, thanks for showing us my friend. 

I think this is a great image, my favorite of this series. The movement and perspective are very original. I would however, desaturate the blues yellow and orange a bit to emphasize the wonderful blur of the gondolier. Alfredo
