newfocus 0 Posted December 4, 2010 Fantastic - I really like the tones and there's loads of interest in the detail. To my eye I can't help thinking that it'd be even stronger composition and interest wise if a little was cropped from the left but I don't mean that as a negative - just a suggestion.John Link to comment

michaelseewald 237 Posted April 7, 2011 John Patrick's critique abvoe made me take a look at his suggestion (many times, we look at an image and assume it's perfect because it looks so good to start with- big mistake), so I took my hand and cropped the left, and saw the advantages of it right away. I stay in the image longer (always a plus), as the lady is now part of a circular composition, instead of a static one.She is now the left side with the right balanced by the stuff on the right, which you never hardly looked at before (because it was static). But the feel of the whole piece, however cropped, is superb!(Came over after seeing your thanking me from a critique I'd left in '04 on one of my images, glad to see so much nice work in your portfolio- stunning).
