I normally stick to walkabout type shots so purposely setting objects

up in a scene is new to me.

I don't have access to proper lighting yet and not sure when I will,

so I used a 250W blue spectrum grow lamp to take out the harsh shadow

cast by the lens, as well as the shadows in the recesses of the

figurines clothes / face etc.

I'm getting to grips with my new wide angle lens and also having to

learn to focus manually, which I'm struggling like hell with but

having a lot of fun - I'll nail it soon!

I'm trying to get pictures with a lot of depth and more creative

angles to make the most of the wide angle's ability. For these shots

of Bleach characters I tried the hyper-focal technique, which I

understand isn't the sharpest but for now it's all that I've been able

to get the jist of.

In short; all help, advice, tips and criticism would be very much

appreciated! In fact, any wide-angle tips would be wicked! I've raked

many forums but still, someone always has that little gem of knowledge

no one else has thought to mention.

Oh, and these figurines may be a couple of years old, but Bleach still

kicks it!

All the best

John
