Donna Stavis 0 Posted December 2, 2010 An interesting composition and perspective. Looks like the woman on the floor is at a variation of a tea party of sorts -- in her imagination. I like the firetruck red of the chair very much; it stimulates this scene. Link to comment
schouwman 0 Posted December 2, 2010 a beautiful work!! very nice lighting and composition, congrats Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 3, 2010 This is a dreamlike image. For me the inclusion of the feet at the top of the frame adds an element of mystery and kind of dislodges this scene from space and time. But isn't that what dance - at its best - really does? Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted December 4, 2010 The main subject seems stuck somewhere in the past and those empty shells are quite disturbing, as if all her hopes and wishes could in no way fill the emptiness. The feet in the background implies that reality looms, will enter the scene, will break the bubble, will make the fantasy collapse into itself. Link to comment
3m 0 Posted December 4, 2010 From a lit torch parade to a ballet stage, your captures are all varied, and equally very interesting, Pnina..! In this capture, I admire the composition and the way you managed to capture the colored elements on the stage with the available light, which adds a lot to the interest of the photo. The red, pale creams and sea-green (of the skirt in the BG) go very nicely with the black of the stage floor. This part of the dance shown has a slightly introverted feeling to it, imo. An aesthetic composition, and an interesting capture! Kind regards to you, Marjolein Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted December 5, 2010 Pnina, for me this a surreal image. There can be many interpretations of this image. I admire the the choreographer and photographer for blending fantasy with reality. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 5, 2010 Mario, Andew, and Rajinder. Thanks for your feedback. Donna, the red chairs were a strong, one of the elements of the choreography, and the dancers were using them all along the dance show. Thanks for your written impressionsJanegbert, thanks for stopping by and commenting.Jack, as usual you are well expressing your impressions. Life as a dance ,combines reality with a "moving' imagination... Thanks .Ruud, thanks for referring to the lights, not so easy on stage...Jeff, well depicted ! You are for sure familiar with T Williams play, "A streetcar named desire" , where it shows reality vs. fantasy , and sanity vs. mental disorder.......Marjolein, yes, I try to photograph pieces of human life , their joys and sorrow, their lights and shadows , their introvert /extrovert feelings. In the dances I choose to follow, I see the melange of realty translated to imagination and fantasy... Thanks for your wide/nice interpretation.Mary, thanks for liking this composition. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 5, 2010 Thanks !I have missed your comment while writing my answer.... As it was thoughts about TW play, and it is one frame only (till now).. you are right that it can be interpreted im many ways. Thats why I write a preface ... so viewers can imagine to an extent the dance scene, and my interpretation. Link to comment
