Very interesting abstract landscape.  I wonder if cloning or cropping out the black spot in the snow above the road would not result in an even stronger picture.   I couldnt resist and gave it a try. 

I cropped out the spot and did a small transformation in PS.   What do you think.

Thank you Ben, I do like your version.Normally i do not do any kloning but in this case it looks good,I do not like the cropp though, I prefer to see it the way it is,
