Hi James

I love the focus of all of the men on the game, but contrasted by the man on the bench looking away.

Well done and seen.

We also call it domono here and it is most played at the old cafe's,specially with old people.

You lit this image so nicely and brought out great details and superb contrast and tone which do add to the fine composition of this image.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

I used a larger aperture to drop the background slightly out of focus. If I had paid more attention to the scene I wouldn't have done that. Los viejos (the old ones) concentrate on dominoes; the young man, with his back to the game, concentrates on more important matters - two young ladies across the plaza.

Love the concentration and the composition. Some players love to slam the pieces down on the board when they play.

A great candid street shot.  Oldie but goodie!  I used to own & use a Minolta XG-M with 50mm f1.4 so your 'details' provided some nostalgia for me.  Used Plus X in the old days too.  Too bad you only have 4 posted images.  I'm sure you have a shoe box or two somewhere with a few more gems we PN viewers could learn a thing or two from, even if you no longer shoot.  Meir Samel, who says he no longer shoots,  has a lot of great shots he's offered up.  Just a hint.  :-)  Best, Len.

Len, Thank you for the comment. I sometimes post a photo every now and then on the Classic Manual Cameras forum. Those are ones done with old 8x10 or 5x7 view cameras, 4x5 inch format or 120 film format. That is usually in keeping with the theme of a thread. I suppose I should post more photos here. Maybe someday ...
