ldavidson 4 Posted November 26, 2010 A fish, but no ordinary fish. I think this is an Angel fish? It looks like the ones my son's girlfriend has in her aquarium. They are beautiful to watch. This is a lovely treatment, wonderful lines in the fins and tail. Very dramatic and a pleasure to look at. Best wishes, Linda Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 261 Posted November 27, 2010 Jerry, it never occurred to me! But I watch my pictures in ACDSee, full screen in a dark room and I didn't have a clue that this picture could be to dark, even when I posted here in such a shining environment it didn't appear to me to brighten it a bit, I suggested instead to be viewed large, the larger the picture - the lesser the influence of the shiny surrounding! Thank you for your input!PDEP.S. Yes, on my ACDSee there is no need of brightening or increasing contrast whatsoever, but considering the circumstances here I decided to do what you suggest to some extent and I did!Thank you again Jerry! JimCowan 0 Posted November 27, 2010 You have reduced the fish to its basic 'fish shape', while emphasizing the eye, 'the big eye', but don't worry, its just a fish.Jim Link to comment
tonyfrench 0 Posted November 27, 2010 Pierre, wonderfully done. I like that you've given us just enough of the fine detail. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted November 28, 2010 A contour detected fish...High pass spacial filters meaning convolutions of an image with something like a Laplacian...My technical side, you know...You blowed-up the black as I observe it on my Qosmio...Nevertheless you are Great My Dear Friend ! Pierre Dumas 261 Posted November 29, 2010 Holger & Angela, it's just one filter, nothing else! Of course - cleaning first, I always clean my photos of unnecessary elements!PDE Link to comment
