A Day at the Lake B&W

I only dare to suggest black stroke and white frames, matter of taste or maybe matter of visual accomplishment of the picture!

Beautiful picture. A very nice b&w scene with a sense of loneliness and silence. The geometry of the sidewalk, the tree, the tormented sky,  and this small family - everything's great. And above all, the scooter gives balance to the composition and is a nice contrasting element in this photo dominated mainly by light grey tones -- Antoine

Thanks Pierre and Antoine.  Pierre, I have no way of applying a frame, or one that i know of in Lightroom 2, which is the program that I mainly work with.  You are probably right in what you say though as this would set of the photo better than the standard "page" colour.  Antoine, thanks for the very thoughtful, and in depth comments on this one.  I almost did not post this shot, as I was not sure if it was worthy of this site.  Yet, when I look at it more I realize that the composition does work.  My only issue with the family is the one child situated between the mirrors of the scooter.  I guess I could have cloned him out, but that would have to be done in Photoshop as the clone system in Lightroom is not as accurate, and has less control in this aspect.  Take care, and all the best.
