harrylichtman 0 Posted November 30, 2010 I made a bit of a mistake taking this image - hopefull not obvious. The fantastic sidelighting produce nice shadows and contrast, and a polarizing filter definately helped reduce glare off the distant evergreens. My intension was to take a shot with the filter for the land, and one without for the sky to eliminate the nasty dark blob that often appears in a blue sky when using a wide angle lens. Well, I forgot to remove/turn the polarizer and tried to reduce/eliminate the very dk blue area in the sky to create a more natural look.Did I succeed? Link to comment

ndj 0 Posted November 30, 2010 This is a beautiful shot of Bryce Harry! One of the nicest compositions I've seen in fact. You can definitely notice the effect of the polarizer in the sky but I think it could be fixed relatively easily. The side lighting has really brought out the colors that Bryce is famous for. Nice work guy!All the best,Neil Link to comment
Karl Schuler 48 Posted December 1, 2010 Of course the filter effect on the sky is still visible but it is not very disturbing as the sky is very small. What I like less in this otherwise excellent shot is the very bright foreground. Karl Link to comment
harrylichtman 0 Posted December 1, 2010 Thanks guys - I will work on that sky some more a tone down the FG. Looking back, I think the Watermark on the bottom is a mess! Interrupts the flow of the image for web viewing.Harry Link to comment
