stp 6 Posted November 27, 2010 With this vertical format, it seems to me you've shown more of an empty skyscape than landscape. The few trees on the horizon are great, and the clouds look great as well, but the vertical slice seems rather narrow, and the interesting clouds have been abruptly cut off. My recommended solution would be to do a two-shot stitch, with the second shot taken to the left. Of course, I don't know what's over there, so I don't know if that would be possible. I also don't know how the clouds would look. In any event, I think the notion of an empty landscape needs additional empty space to the left and/or right. The empty space in the foreground is almost a silhouette, and it barely qualifies as "space" for that reason. You've got a great composition going here (especially with the car -- an intriguing part of the composition), and I like the sepia treatment you've applied. I think it's just a matter of creating more empty space on the landscape if the title is an indication of your intention. Link to comment
