Kinnickkinnick Dancer

This is an old and weathered Kinnickkinnick stem I found growing on a

granite boulder. It struck me as a ballet dancer exuberantly leaping

into the air.

Good photographic eye and originality. Just a question: did you use a polarizer? If not I think in this case it could help you to get rid of the reflections on the wet wood...

   I believe you are correct that a polarizer might have helped. In truth, this was a very overcast day, and I was surprised to see all of the Raw files display such highlights on the wood. As it was, I toned them down quite a bit in Adobe Camera Raw using the Adjustment Brush tool. Without that, it looks as though I used studio lighting!
