Seeing is believing. If you had described this photo to me, I wouldn't have thought it worth commenting on. However, it is! I do like the random geometric shapes.

It's interesting in it's pattern and overall  texture, but my eye wishes for a single object to focus my attention on, like a bird or someone's hat or something similar.

i found it interesting enough to get in... wondering why the slate was piled up like this... if those long twigs had not been there i could have thought it a wall but there presence indicated otherwise... i thought it's on the ground... and was puzzled why it should be laid on the ground in this manner - one couldn't walk on it without serious risk of injury... then i read your words... a roof... ah! puzzle solved... without your words it would have remained an enigma for me - much like what our friend Drew Bayless conjures up

I love photos like this. It's wonderful. I like the exposure, color, texture and random pattern. I especially like the leaves tucked in between the tiles. And the sticks don't detract in my opinion. M
