The first church was built in 1200 A.D. and since then it has been rebuilt

three times. The church today, dating since 1834, is a three-aisle

basilica and is decorated with great icons. Among them is the icon of

‘Lady of Hope’, which the Catholics of Syros worship (From Municipality

of Ano Syros).

When I visited this beautiful catholic church the sunlight was passing

through the yelow colored windows, giving at the inside a devout

atmosphere, which I tried to capture.

See the large version, please! Thanks for your time!

In my opinion, this is one of your best shots Giwrgo!! The light and the intense yellow tones are absolutely fantastic! The well captured details and the angle make me feel like I am actually in the church..! Really really great photo...apsegadiasth! My warm congrats!

Wonderful light, composition and color. Would you consider a perspective distortion adjustment like this to square things up a bit? Just a thought.

Very nice perspective, the sharpness is wonderful. I like the fact that I can see perfectly the picture of the altar. The colorful is cute and the manage of the light is pretty good. Architecture details are also good. By the way, interesting information about the history.

It's an excellent interior, particularly in its control of perspective and the sharpness of detail. The colours leave me somewhat undecided, however. The absence of natural areas of shadow, as happens in a HDR image, and the rather bright pastel-like colours, suggest a touch of artifice in the image. In a way, I have the impression that this makes the interior almost too perfect.
