Hi Richard. Nice capture. I have switched to and fro from colour to bw and finalyy decided for the bw. The red flowers are stealing a bit the attention, which is eliminated in the monochrome. Very well focused on the bired with nice lighting. Best regards!

Richard, I prefer the B&W version because the red flower is not distracting my focus from the bird. Both are tack sharp images

Wonderful capture of the expression of the bird. A photograph with perfect color tones. The colored version is dramatic and the bw version is poetic. Regards.

Richard, I like both versions, but as several others have mentioned, I prefer the B/W, for the same reason they did, and the tones in the B/W one are exquisite.

I like both color and b/w. color seem to be able to appreciated the details and feeling more real to the eye. b/w got the nice contrast. Again the square cropping add a bonus to the picture.

Great capture. I cannot decide which one is better - to me the colored and the bw are different pictures :). In fact, for me, here the red flowers add to the composition by forming a natural arc around the bird, and helps me to finally concentrate on it. Regards.

The reds and greens seem very seasonal, and for this reason alone I prefer the colour version. A little dusting of frost and it would make a fantastic Xmas card. It's got a real  "partridge in a pear tree" kind of feel to it

Nice sharpness and dof too.

Very well done!

Regards

Alf

This is an amazing bird capture with outstanding details and fine colors, the bird pose is unique and add a remarkable credit to this work, the DOF is another outstanding element to promote the high quality of this image to the viewers.

Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.
