Those things are hard to find these days.  Most people wouldn't understand dragging a needle (or a nail) accross plastic to get sound.  After all it's not something you can carry in your pocket.

As old as it looks. Nice find and capture. I'm not sure but I would guess that these things were in general use for 50 years or so. Not many products have a life that long these days! GJ
