Guest Guest Posted November 21, 2010 eduard,She is a cute girl. Her skin tone is good. She has good eye contact with the camera (viewer). The background is nicely out of focus and she is well separated from it. The lighting on her hair and shoulder provide nice highlights and help to separate her from the background. You have focused well on her eyes. She has an unusual expression -- not unpleasant, but not exactly endearing, either. Some catchlights would help give life to her eyes. There is a lot of hair crisscrossing in front of her face -- which is quite annoying. She is a vertical subject shot in a horizontal format. There is a lot of nothing off to the right (her left). Even though you have cropped into her hair, there needs to be more space on the bottom to give it better top and bottom compositional balance. You want to compositionally balance the left and right sides of the photograph. The compositional "rule" for this suggests that you position the tip of the subject's nose in the vertical center of the photograph. Nice shot,Mark Link to comment
