View Large to see detail. I just processed this image as black and white

and understand how Ansel Adams felt this medium as the means to

interpret the impact of nature. I printed the image Lumijet Photo White

Satin with great results. Thanks for taking your time to comment; the

feedback is quite helpful and meaningful.

Hi Larry.  You were not joking about the detail in this shot when viewed large.  I find this an interesting perspective of Half Dome, and I do not recall seeing anything taken from this same perspective.  I like it a lot, but would have moved the dome a little more to the centre of the frame.   This would have placed it in the right third more.  That must have been some hike to get to this vantage point!  Take care, and all the best.

WOw! An Ansel Adams shot especially when viewed larger. A feast for the eyes and super tonal range.

The best to you for the holidays and the New Year!

"Half Dome". . . .  Famous image, famous subject from a famous  photographer  and  you  did a wonderful job too.  Nice  B&W work. Bravo.

Larry, viewing large makes a huge difference -- it's quite amazing.  I think this is perfectly framed -- the interest is to the left in "front" of half dome; even the light is dictating that.  I love the details seen in the large version.  I hope to stand at this spot one day.

Stephen,   I suggest you doing your standing sooner rather than later.  A number of major sites at Yosemite are being closed because of rock slides or something similar.  Glacier Point is one of these areas.  Thanks for your comment.   Larry

Even Ansel Adams would be proud of this one. Composition, light and detail all blend to make an exceptional capture. Congrats, rek.

Richard,  Hi.  Thanks so much for perusing my portfolio.  I do like your images because you make the simple in anyone's neighborhood or locale artistic.  It's about seeing well.  We shall continue to enjoy each others images and keep learning.  Happy winter.  Larry
