Hi Dave,

I really like this image a lot, especially the colors but also the text (with one reservation -- see below). The colors and texture are superb.

I have found that most people don't seem to like text in their images. I do happen to like it, however, but the "wet-work" gave me pause since as you know, "wet work" is a sometime synonym for covert assassination. So I am not quite sure what you were getting at other than your mention of a deep dark past -- a bit scary.

Your work is, as usual, a pleasure to view and a lot of fun to watch evolve over time.

Thanks for your insightful comment regarding 'Wet-Work'.  Your input is always welcomed and is often helpful.

As to 'wet-work'...  When I was quite young I was often present at informal discussions with people who were, or had been, involved in counter-espionage operations at a high level.  The term 'wet-work' was used in reference to activities by covert teams or individuals who were believed to be associated with the old KGB.

As for being in the 'deep, dark' past.... memories of events from sixty plus years ago are buried deeply and are often dim.

Thankfully, I have never been close to, or involved in, such activities.  To have met some that were involved was interesting and informative.

This image is about what it might be like to witness such an event.
