I think that the tones are extremely attractive and that you have dealt very well with the huge differences in lighting. The border right of the centre is so sharp that it seems to me that there is another picture.

That said the scene is not too interesting.

Thank you very much for your comment, Luca. This photo pleases me, but I'm not quite sure why. I think there are two reasons: One is the relationship between the persons, they seem connecting in one way, and very independent in another way.  The other reason is the shadows. I think the shadow and light areas are positioned in an interesting way in the photo. The light/shadow pattern makes up an interesting motif, no matter what is the real motif. The combination of these two elements makes this an interesting photo to me. Alas, I have received mostly 3 ratings for this shot. People at pn don't see the same values as I do. I'm very glad you found it interesting enough to write a comment.

Don't worry about the 3s.

Every viewer has individual, subjective reactions. Unfortunately many do not take enough time to properly view the photos and to understand them.

Personally, I don't see the relationships between the three: the man on the right is looking at you. The woman is entering the building and the man in the middle looks as if he's walking out of the building.

But, as said, the real strength of this photo are its tones. To me, it recalls the tones of the dye transfer prints of William Eggleston. And the way you have managed the colours is very good.

I have said that the scene is not too interesting, but not every photo needs to tell a story.
