Timothy Grass and Fall Foliage

By the local stream. I had been whining about 'nothing to photograph'

and then I opened my eyes. (Nikon N90s, 105mm f2.5, Provia 100)

The part of the stalk is very sharp but top gets blurred for its shallow DOF. It is very attractive. Consider cropping some from below as the colorful blobs of light do distract from the main subject. Regards, ifti.

Les: I very much like the narrow DOF. I don't at all find the top of the subject that is out of focus objectionable, the brightly lite portion to my eye balances it out very well.  Tom
