Vincenzo, because your desire is to improve your work and make a statement of this, it's in it a good start. Our comments maybe will help you a little bit, technicaly speaking, but your feelings about photography it help's you most. that's because what's technic you can learn... but for a good photo u must have heart and none of the less, eye. ok now, let's cut the lecture and being usefull: 1. focus isn't in her eyes were it has to be 2. u lose texture with hot spots (on face, arm) 3. distracting element in the left side (maybe her hand... ideal it was great if it was the whole hand). see?! it hurts?! i hope not. but thats technic, because emotionaly it's there. u captured her innerself, her beauty in exact that moment. u was there and thats great. light be with u, Vincenzo!

You're right about  the highlights and the distracting cropped hand but actually this  is more a snapshot than a portrait, I've captured a moment, a cheer not paying attention to other important side of a photo, like composition and highlights. I tried and I'm quite happy with the result but a different opinion is always valuable.
