This was one of the first shots I took of Haystack Rock and the

needles around it just as the first rays of the sun began to highlight

these great monoliths. Let me know what you think.

Thanks Claude, Fabio, and Pierre.  Claude, I understand what you are saying, and have posted a cropped version with this post.  Fabio, I did not want to adjust the exposure as this was the light I wanted to capture, especially when many other people seem to capture these monoliths at sunset, and in the afternoon etc.  I am trying to be a little different!  What I did do, Fabio, is adjust the exposure in the darkest section of the original image, which is left of Haystack Rock.  Let me know what you think.

Nice take on this classic scene Paul.  I like the reposted version a little better since you can see more detail in the rocks.  To me something between the original and the repost is probably the sweet spot for exposure since I do like it dark, but want to see just a bit more detail  -Scott

Thanks Scott.  I know what you mean.  When I looked at the new version above I realized that I must have adjusted to exposure globally by accident.  I agree totally with what you said about being between the original and new post in terms of exposure.  Thanks for that!
