Apoxee Park Landscape 3865

Part of my B&W Landscape project focusing on Everglades

environments. Note the non-native invasive melaleuca trees (the dead

looking ones in the background). They are not a natural part of the

everglades having been introduced to South Florida from Australia in the

late 1800s. They soak up ground water by the gallons and are a fire

hazard during the dry season. For black and white landscape

photography though, they provide good contrast. Thanks for your

thoughts.
