JimCowan 0 Posted November 15, 2010 This can be a challenging season for photography, between the rich colours of Fall and the snows of Winter but your image has captured some of the residual warmth of the season. The rich colours of the barn with its dark stain and rust fits beautifully into this November landscape. The white paint framing the doorways is curious, sort of a folk art decoration.Jim Link to comment
gardena 0 Posted November 16, 2010 The apparent simplicity of the image belies the difficulties in composing images of big solid buildings like this. This is very well done. Link to comment

lizweisiger 0 Posted November 17, 2010 Always a fan of your work, David, I love this too. Great sense of loneliness and chill in the air. Wonderful light and tones. I sense a place which has a long storied life I'd like to hear about. Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted November 17, 2010 Thanks Liz. Such old farms always have stories - unknown to most. Still nice to imagine though . . .Take care, David Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted November 18, 2010 David... An interesting response to Liz. I made a similar comment on a lonely old house (in your latest posting) prior to reading this string. I concur both in the excellence of your capture and composition, but also with the magnetic quality of old barns and their images. Thanks for sharing... Mike Link to comment

Christal1664882414 0 Posted November 28, 2010 I'm discovering something about myself. I tend to like it when subjects that are tattered or torn, dilapidated, or rusted come to life in an image. There can be beauty is such decay, and though this barn is still very much intact, it still has a weather-beaten look to it. I love the tones, and the image really appeals to me. Good job!
