I'm exploring the world of digital art and this is one of my first

goes at a less-cartoony one.

I've seldom worked with so many layers and though I'm sure I could

have distilled them further, I did learn a lot about organising my

materials. Every day of my life is a school day! Being self-taught

in all areas, I am missing a lot of the basics that everyone else

seems to be well versed in - I'll catch ya's up!

Not sure if anyone has suggestions to improve this(?), I know I

overdone the glow on the hands but couldn't figure out a better way of

representing what I wanted to.

Had a lot of fun making this, hope it's enjoyed!

cheers

John

To add to that...

If anyone has any tips on how to get this looking more tied together it'd be wicked!

I've had quite a few comments on me looking too super-imposed in the picture.   I'm actually in this, but for some reason I kept looking too "popped out", and I completely agree with them - I was thinking it myself before anyone else had a peep!  In the end I had to work over the picture as a whole to at least give some uniformity to it and I'm fairly happy with the result, though I did lose some good details that helped lend to the magic vibe.

Any ideas?

nice one!
