Thanks, Ben.  Knowing that high tide would be at night, my wife told me she wanted a picture with the moon.  I was happy to oblige.  Thanks for your comment.

Great shot! Nice colours, and the boat and the moon's brightness makes this picture very artistic.

I like the velvety softness of this photo and the way the fishing boat adds a tiny punch of brightness that accents the low level light. Nicely done!

Hi Alain,

Thanks for your nice compliment.  This was taken at Alma, New Brunswick.  The Bay of Fundy is known for having the highest tides, possible in the world, and my wife and I wanted to experience the difference between high and low tides. On this day high tide occurred after the sun had set.   I set up my tripod and the rest is in the image.  Thanks, again.   Larry

It is not a hell of a special or big subject, but photographed and composed beautifully. Excellent exposures and detail all over, nice glow in the sky at the right for some earthly sources, and  the white fishing boot is very nicely illuminated by the moon light. Lots of detail, even in the darkest places, like the  stones. I like the diagonal line drawn from the moon and the boat.

Happy New Year.

hi Larry_Nice capture of a late evening maritime scene, can almost feel the dampness creeping into these old bones.Your image is much more pleasing in the large size, a more realistic image, details are easier to see & examine. The brilliance of the small white craft & the person sitting on the wharf really add to the image. Expect it took some time & patience to create. Very well done. Very best Regards-Ross

Hi Ross,  Thanks for taking me back to Alma, New Brunswick.  The battle in creating this image was warding off pesky mosquitos.  This is one of my favorite images.  My wife is sitting on the dock.  Thanks again.  Larry
