I respectfully don't agree with the "awkwardness" suggested above, I find the pose natural and candid and more intimate also than would be the case if she to have eye contact with the viewer. The hardest thing when holding a camera is to capture the model being herself, and  it is very well done here. The lighting is excellent also, I'm sure I would have destroyed it by adding some bounce flash .. I find these shades of gray very hard to achieve without my old Ilford FP4 and soft paper in the darkroom ..
